UBS Group AG’s billionaire clients are betting on the energy sector, which they see as offering the biggest opportunity over the next five years.
Nearly half of the super-wealthy clients surveyed by the bank said energy is attractive in terms of future investment and business returns, the highest among the 21 categories overall. About a third of the 50 billionaires surveyed also see biotech, pharmaceuticals and software as attractive areas.
The respondents consider the Asia-Pacific region, excluding mainland China, and North America as the most attractive regions for business and investment opportunities in the next five years.
As of March, there were 2,668 billionaires in the world with a fortune of $12.7 trillion, which is about 3% less than in 2021, writes Bloomberg.
