The largest number of climate migrants is expected in Africa: in absolute numbers, sub-Saharan Africa leads (71.1 million people — 3.5% of the region’s population), and in relative numbers — North Africa: up to 6.1% of the total population of the region can become climate migrants there (in total — 13 million people)

Latin America, Eastern Europe and different regions of Asia are in approximately the same conditions: somewhere between one and a half to two percent of the total population of the region can become climate refugees.
