Discrimination against ethnic groups in the USA

Almost a third of white Americans (30.1%) report a significant increase in discrimination against members of their group in the United States over the past five years, according to a survey by the University of Maryland in conjunction with Nielsen Scarborough.

In addition, 28.9% of white respondents noted a significant increase in cases of discrimination against the US population of Asian origin, 21.7% — against Jewish, 20.4% — against African Americans, 19.7% — against Muslims and 14.7% — against Latin Americans.

By comparison, among African Americans, 53.2% noted a significant increase in discrimination against members of their group, 38.9% against Asian, 33.3% against Hispanics, 29.3% against Muslims, and 23.7% against Jews. And 13% of African Americans believe that the white population in the US has experienced a significant increase in discrimination over the past five years.
