Analytical portal Verivox studied electricity prices in 145 countries and found that in Germany it is 174% more expensive than the world average. Germans pay 31.8 cents per kilowatt-hour, while the international average is 11.62 cents.

The cheapest electricity is now in Venezuela, where a kilowatt hour costs 0.00036 cents.
