Inflation growth rates in European countries

Now the average inflation rate in the EU is 7.5%. Data for individual countries are provided by local statistical offices.

In Germany, inflation reached its highest level in 40 years. Consumer prices in March rose in annual terms by 7.6%. Energy prices increased by 39.5%, food prices — by 6.2%.

The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic reached 12.7% in March. This is the highest rate since May 1998, when inflation was 13%. The price of fuel for the year increased by 1.5 times, electricity — by 24.7%, gas — by 37.7%, oil and flour — by more than 30%.

Inflation in Denmark accelerated to 5.4% in March and reached its highest level since 1985. The youngest and least wealthy people will suffer the most from this, according to Bloomberg.

Inflation in the Netherlands reached almost 11.9% in March. This is the highest level since 1975.

Inflation in France accelerated to 5.1% in March, setting a new record since 1997 in the history of calculating the indicator according to the EU methodology. Energy prices rose by 28.9%

Beating records and annual inflation in Greece. Consumer prices rose 8.9% in March, reaching their highest level since 1995. Prices for housing and utilities increased by 29.9%, for food — by 8.1%, for transport services — by 15.4%.
