She explained that Turgenev wrote stories and plays not only in Russian. Most of the so-called “children’s fairy tales”, as the writer himself called them, were written in French, and correspondence was conducted in English, German, and French.
The main work on the translation of the heritage of a famous writer was carried out in the 70s, 80s of the 20th century. In the 1990s, work was suspended.
