Lack of work and decreased income

41% of Russians face difficulties in their field, another 32% believe that nothing has changed – it is difficult as before, the platform for remote work Zlaker found out (RIA Novosti has a study). Another 7% say that with job search and part-time work it became easier, and 20% do not follow the labor market at all.

As experts have found out, most Russians tend to negatively assess changes in their industry: almost 40% believe that the situation has deteriorated significantly, another 21% believe that it has changed for the worse, albeit not critical.

Only 4% of those surveyed noticed an obvious improvement in their industry, and 7% noted a “slight improvement” in their work. The rest said nothing had changed.

According to the study, half of Russians (50%) have observed a significant decrease in income since the beginning of the year, while another 14% said they had “a slight decrease.” For 22%, the level of income remained the same, and 14% of those surveyed said they were growing.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects said that the unemployment rate in Russia has almost returned to the parameters of 2019 – 4.9%. At the same time, he noted that “this is an average figure”, and many people still face difficulties in getting a job, with part-time employment.
