Length of minimum vacation

According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), of all the countries of the organization, the best rest for employees is in Austria: the minimum paid vacation guaranteed by law is 25 days there + almost two more weeks of public holidays. In total, this gives 38 days of paid vacation per year.

A little less (36 days each) is obtained in France and Spain, in another 6 European countries it comes out for 35 days

At the other end is the United States, the only country where, in principle, there is no minimum paid vacation guaranteed by law, and holidays are only 10 days a year. In Mexico, which is in second place from the bottom, a week of vacation is guaranteed (and another week of holidays), in Canada, which closes the three anti-leaders, 10 days of vacation + 10 days of holidays

In Russia, we recall, the minimum vacation is 28 days + 27 holidays. 55 days in total

Traffic cameras are still sometimes «used not to prevent violations, but to generate additional income for regional authorities and entrepreneurs.» This was reported to Kommersant at the Prosecutor General’s Office following an inspection of the operation of automatic fixation systems in 2021.

In many regions, there are cartel agreements, when officials and business «cut» the budget for the purchase of equipment, sometimes even non-working. So, in the Belgorod region, brand new cameras bought by Governor Gladkov do not work due to “technical unsuitability”. And the 130 million rubles spent on them have disappeared.

And one more thing: according to the rules, cameras are installed where accident sites are concentrated. But officials arrange them so that you can catch the violator for fictitious speeding. For example, the traffic police in the Moscow region fined almost two thousand drivers. 110 km/h signs were installed on the road, and the complexes were set to 90 km/h. All “violators” in a row were caught.
