The world is about to pass another major milestone in the adoption of electric vehicles: this June, there will be 20 million vehicles on the world’s roads. This number also includes 5.3 million hybrids.

In the second half of 2022, analysts estimate that the global fleet will be replenished by almost a million electric vehicles per month.

By the end of 2022, analysts predict there will be more than 26 million electric vehicles on the roads.

China accounts for 46% of total EV sales to date, followed by Europe at 34%. North America is a distant third at 15%. All other countries combined account for only 5%, writes Bloomberg.
