According to the 12th annual global Ipsos poll for the Halifax International Security Forum, of 28 recently surveyed countries, an average of 83% say the world needs new international institutions and agreements, led by democracies.

Roughly the same number (78%) agree that they would have more respect for global institutions or agreements if democracies had more influence over them than authoritarian countries.
