Poland simplifies the legalization of foreigners

Polish President Andrzej Duda signed a law amending the law on foreigners that will affect workers from Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Now, foreigners who will apply for a residence card will no longer be required to have a documented place of residence in Poland and a permanent source of income. They will only check the availability of a guaranteed job with a salary not lower than the minimum.

Also, foreigners will have the opportunity to work in Poland without a work permit, but on the basis of a declaration of receipt of work, not 6 months, as it was before, but 2 years.

In addition, the list of circumstances that do not require a foreigner to issue a new residence and work permit included a change of position with an increase in salary.

The new changes will take effect in the second half of January.
