Poland is not going to buy gas from Russia after 2022, Piotr Naimsky, authorized representative of the government for strategic energy infrastructure, said in an interview with RMF FM radio.
The representative recalled that the long-term contract for the supply of Russian gas to Poland expires in December (we are talking about an agreement between Gazprom and the Polish PGNiG for the supply of 10 billion cubic meters annually, the so-called Yamal contract, concluded in September 1996).
According to Naimsky, Warsaw is not going to either renew the agreement or enter into short-term contracts.
«Even though it might seem like a good business [short-term supply], it’s hard to imagine these days,» he explained (quoted from wprost.pl).
