Record rise in prices in the USA

The rise in prices over the past 12 months in the United States turned out to be a record for the last 30 years (and a little more — and will reach the records of the 1970s — early 1980s). Fuel has risen the most: gasoline has become 51% more expensive, gas — 28%. Car rentals added 39%, and used cars themselves became 26% more expensive. Prices for food also went up, especially for meat: prices for beef rose by 24%, and prices for bacon rose by 20%. Following the rise in prices for building materials, furniture becomes more expensive, albeit modest against the general background of 11%

The Supreme Court of Russia upheld the verdict of the former head of the Internal Security Directorate of the Investigative Committee, Mikhail Maksimenko, and the former head of the Investigative Committee for the Central Administrative District of Moscow, Alexei Kramarenko, who were held in the case of the former head of the Investigative Committee for Moscow Alexander Drymanov, the press service of the court told RBC.

Kramarenko and Maksimenko were banned from working in law enforcement agencies for 2.5 and 3 years, respectively, RIA Novosti said in court.

The court slightly reduced the ban on working by profession, Kramarenko’s lawyer Elena Fedulova told RBC.

According to Fedulova, the defense does not agree with the «mistake in the verdict,» according to which the defendants in the case are charged with taking a bribe of $ 1 million, although $ 200 thousand of them were intended for the intermediary.

“As a result, the fine for each is 40 million more than it should have been if the amount of the bribe was correctly calculated,” the lawyer said.

The defendant’s defense said that she would write a supervisory complaint to the presidium of the court.
