Rising debt of European countries

In less than two years (data as of the end of the 3rd quarter of 2021), the public debt of the 27 EU countries grew by 12.9%

The government debt grew the most in the countries of Southern Europe: +26.3% in Spain, +21% in Italy, +20% in Greece. High figures are also registered in the UK: +18.8%

The best performers were Ireland (government debt rose by a modest 0.4%), Sweden (1.2%) and Luxembourg (3%)
