This $9,800 drone to fly around people and sensitive equipment

Cleo Robotics has created the Dronut X1 drone, which uses propellers hidden in the body to eliminate the possibility of propellers colliding with surrounding objects.

It is assumed that the drone will be used to inspect the condition of engineering structures and equipment in tight, dark rooms with a large number of obstacles. In addition, Dronut can be useful for police and rescuers.

In addition to the drone, the kit includes a rechargeable battery and a hand-held joystick controller. The cost of the device is 9,800 dollars

Japanese scientists, together with colleagues from the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland and the Max Planck Institute in Germany, conducted a mirror test for cleaner wrasses. 17 out of 18 wrasses or 94% of the fish passed the test. The results of the study are published in the journal PLOS Biology.

The mirror test is the main identifier of self-awareness. During the experiment, a stain of odorless paint is discreetly applied to the subject. The mark is left on that part of the body that the animal cannot see on its own. Next, they show him a mirror. A participant in a successful experiment usually first shows aggression and only then recognizes himself in it.

This experiment is successful in primates, dolphins, crows, magpies, pigs, humans over 18 months old, and even ants. There is also evidence of manta rays, giant stingrays, identifying themselves in a mirror, but the study was considered controversial.

Researchers from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology have found that gravitational time dilation is applicable even to micro-objects that obey the laws of quantum physics. They were based on one of the conclusions of the general theory of relativity, which states that time in the presence of gravitational fields of different strengths and when moving at high speed flows non-uniformly. This has been previously confirmed by other scientific experiments.

According to the China Labor Bulletin, there were 1,093 worker strikes in 2021, more than 200 more than in 2020.

Construction workers account for the largest share of strikes (38 percent). Evergrande hit the headlines last year for unpaid wages. Workers have been on strike claiming they have not been paid at 11 Evergrande construction sites.

Looking at the trends of the last five years, the share of strikes involving manufacturing workers has decreased from 20% in 2017 to 5% in 2021. The share of strikes involving service workers remained relatively stable at 15-20 percent. Strikes in the transport sector have risen from 10 percent in 2017 to 35 percent in 2021.

Government intervention in strikes and labor negotiations has risen to about half of all incidents last year. The number of cases in which trade unions are involved is still very low. Since 2015, Xi Jinping has been talking about the need to reform the official trade union so that it becomes a representative of the interests of workers.
