Saudi Arabia increased oil supplies

Saudi Arabia has drastically increased oil supplies to the world market after US administration officials asked the kingdom for more barrels to ease the energy crisis.

In July, state oil company Saudi Aramco was selling 7.5 million barrels a day overseas, Bloomberg calculated based on tanker shipping data.

Compared with June, Saudi oil exports rose by 14% and approached a record in history. Suadi Aramco sold more barrels only in the spring of 2020.

Deliveries to China in July reached 1.65 million barrels per day and almost doubled the Russian ones, which, on the contrary, decreased by 25% during the month — from 1.07 to 0.81 million barrels per day.

Saudi Arabia sold 1 million barrels a day to India (against 0.74 million from Russian oilmen).

At the same time, Saudi Aramco directed additional flows to Europe. The SuMed pipeline, duplicating the Suez Canal, pumped 1.2 million barrels per day to European countries — 90% more than before February 2022.

Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have come up with proton resistors for an artificial brain to replace silicon transistors. They are a million times faster than the neurons in the human head. Neurons can be quite large, but proton resistors can be thousands of times smaller.

As a result, it will be possible to fit such a powerful analog processor into the volume of the brain that it will turn out to be something unimaginable by modern standards. A neural network in the volume of such an analog processor is created instantly, and the processor in the form of an array of resistors works like a normal one, only the data does not need to be moved between the processor and memory during processing. And this speeds up processing and saves consumption, because no data is sent outside the processor.
