Share of renewable electricity

Eastern Europe, like the eastern part of the United States, is a territory of «non-green» energy: renewable sources account for less than 20% of total energy generation. In Russia, renewable sources provide only 19.7% of generation (mainly hydroelectric power plants), while in Belarus — only 3.3%. Approximately the same figures are in Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, the Czech Republic and many states of the eastern part of the USA

And Iceland turned out to be the absolute leader in renewable energy, where 100% of energy is obtained from renewable sources (hydrothermal sources). Iceland shared the first place with Albania, which also achieved 100% «clean» energy. Norway lags behind them minimally (99%), and in general the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltics.
