The self-employment regime has been operating in Russia for two years now. A study of this market conducted by the YouDo Business service and the HeadHunter platform showed that already more than half of Russian companies regularly cooperate with the self-employed, 42% of whom are young people
One of the main trends in self-employment in 2022 was diversification — already 70% of the self-employed today earn extra money in two or more categories. At the same time, in 2020, the share of such performers was only 53%. The most popular categories for the self-employed on YouDo were: «Virtual Assistant» (14%), «Design» (11%), «Repair and Construction» (10%), «Courier Services» (9%), «Photo, Video and audio» (8%).
In two years, the ratio of self-employed blue and white collars on the service has changed — the share of specialists providing intellectual services in the field of IT, design, marketing and advertising, legal and accounting assistance has grown to 60% from 45% in 2020.
