The consulting company Verisk Maplecroft has published The Cities@Risk Security Index 2022 ranking of world cities by security risks. The most dangerous cities in the world are Kabul and Mogadishu, and the most cities with an increased security risk are in Latin America. The cities of Western and Northern Europe (Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain), as well as East Asia (Singapore, Japan, Taiwan) are recognized as the safest.
The Cities@Risk Security Index 2022 by risk management consultancy Verisk Maplecroft is based on an analysis of four key factors: crime, civil unrest, war and terrorism. The rating includes 579 cities with a population of over 1 million people.
