Young people are interested in climate change

Among those who use social media, 45% of Gen Z (here: born after 1996) follow climate news on social media, according to a Pew Research Center study. Among the older generation (born in 1964 and earlier) there are only 21% of them (remember, this is the share of the number of users of social networks!)

And this difference is noticeable on all counts: among buzzers, 69% worry about the future, among boomers – 41%. Among boomers, 49% are dissatisfied with how little is being done to combat climate change, among boomers – 29%. Willingness to study climate change issues: 54% vs. 39%

And only in one thing the buzzers lagged behind: in the level of dissatisfaction with how much attention is riveted on the issues of climate change! 22% of buzzers and 32% of boomers are dissatisfied with this attention!
